My name is Liz Jones-Dilworth, and I am currently attending my seventh year of graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin. I have completed a draft of my dissertation, entitled The Role of the Poet: The Performance of Poetry at the Beginning of the 21st Century.
After I started my dissertation support group with two friends, The Future Doctor Gale (who is a present-tense Doctor now) and The Future Doctor Anderson, I became interested in writing processes and strategies.
In this blog, I am talking to fellow academics–especially graduate students like me. More importantly, I am talking to people who work alone, day after day, on personal, artistic projects that feel at times as though they will never be finished.
